Community-Owned Palm Oil Plantation in Sembuluh Burned to the Ground
This community-owned palm oil plantation in Sembuluh II Village, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan, was engulfed in flames. According to a field survey conducted on Monday (October 26, 2026), the soil in the plantation appeared blackened and the oil palm trunks were charred, while the surrounding trees were dried out and brown. The fire appeared to be under control and had been halted at the edge of a sandy ditch or barrier, so the green oil palms on the other side remained unharmed.
